We want to welcome back to Passione Caracciola the most desirable and collectable post-war Mercedes-Benz grand tourer. Only 53 hand-built between 1955 and 1958 The 300 Sc (W188) appeared in 1955, featuring upgrades to both its engine and suspension. Following the high-performance 300SL Gullwing's lead a year earlier, the Sc's inline-six received a version of its mechanical direct fuel-injection, which delivered a slightly detuned 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp) at 5400 rpm. Mercedes-Benz's "low-pivot" independent suspension was fitted in the rear. Only a pair of chrome strips on either side of the hood visually distinguished it from its precursor. This is Passione Caracciola 2018! #PassioneCaracciola2018 #CaracciolaCommunity
We're glad to have for the very first time in the history of Passione Caracciola an Aston Martin DB2, in this case a red model from the 1952! Classic British cars are really welcome to Passione Caracciola! The Aston Martin DB2 was produced from 1950 to 1953. A total amount of only 411 cars were made in this period. The DB2 was based on an Aston Martin which drove the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949. The final introduction of the DB2 was at the New York Autoshow in 1950. One of the first model, tested by the British magazine The Motor in 1950, had a top speed of 116.4 mph (187.3 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 11.2 seconds. A fuel consumption of 20 miles per imperial gallon (14 L/100 km; 17 mpg‑US) was recorded. The test car cost £1914 including taxes. #PassioneCaracciola2018 #CaracciolaCommunity
We welcome this Porsche 911T in the roster of Passione Caracciola 2018! Remember, only few places left! The well-known Porsche 911 is a car that pass through different eras. The 1973 models are the last that maintain the design launched in the 1963 with minimal differences. Starting from 1974 Porsche started to update a little bit his successful model. The 911T was carbureted, except in the US where it used a mechanical fuel injection like on the 911E and S, which accounts for the 7 kW (9 hp) power difference between the two. With the power and torque increases, the '71-'73 2.4 L cars also got a newer, stronger transmission, identified by its Porsche type number 915. Derived from the transmission in the Porsche 908 race car, the 915 did away with the 901/911 transmission's "dog-leg" style first gear arrangement, opting for a traditional H pattern with first gear up ...

We're always happy when a driver subscribe a Lancia for our regularity rallies. A brand that in his history has produced such a great number of astonishing cars. Here a wonderful Flaminia Touring GT from 1963 in the classic Lancia Blue. The first examples of the Flaminia GT were exposed to the public for the first time at the XV Motor Show in Turin that opens November 5, 1958: there are three versions, all in the form of coupes, very different from each other and made by Pininfarina, Touring and Zagato. Carrozzeria Touring designed and built an aluminum bodied two-door versions, which can be easily distinguished by their four round headlights. Starting from 1959 the Flaminia GT passed through 3 series until 1965 (although it remained in the automaker's catalog until 1968.). There are a lot of examples of Flaminia GT in the media industry, from Italian to Hollywood film ...

Eighty years ago, on January 28, 1938, in a Mercedes-Benz W 125 with streamlined bodywork, Rudolf Caracciola took the world public road speed record to 432.7 km per hour. The car, with a chassis from a W125 racing car and a 12 cylinder, 5.6 litre, 736 HP engine set the record on the motorway between Frankfurt and Darmstadt. One curious detail: a small box containing 100kg of ice was mounted on the vehicle to cool the engine, this was just enough for a single attempt. The record is still unbeaten! We welcome back this 70s car produced in Maranello in 1971. The Ferrari 365 GTC/4 is a 2+2 grand tourer produced by Ferrari from 1971 to 1972. It was based on the chassis of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona". Its chassis and drivetrain, however, were carried over mostly unaltered (apart from a wheelbase stretch to provide more satisfying rear seat room) on its successor, the 1972 365 GT4 2+2. In the very short two-year production run 505 examples of the GTC/4 were produced, all of them coupés. Ferrari never produced a Spider version of the 365 GTC/4 and only fews were converted in a spider version by some Ferrari's specialists in the world. Judging how well appears this model, probably tha Maranello's factory should have considered the convertible model. A V12-engined Ferrari ready to compete in the next Passione Caracciola. #PassioneCaracciola #PassioneCaracciola2018 #CaracciolaCommunity #ClassicCar

The 1973 oil crisis began in October 1973when the members of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries proclaimed an oil embargo. By the end of the embargo in March 1974, the price of oil had risen from US$3 per barrel to nearly $12 globally. In this political context it born the @bmw 2002 tii, a countercurrent car that someone called the naughtiest BMW, a car that need a lot of gas but gives a lot of satisfactions to the drivers.
